The trend report the MAC team along with Dominic presented was a very good source of inspiration for me. I am so happy that I attended this as I feel that I have learnt so much about current trends and found myself having fresh ideas about how can I incorporate them in my FMP work. I plan on using some of these ideas in a few future photoshoots, like the idea with the emphasis on one main feature or, another image that caught my eye was the one from Manish Arora designer show where the make-up artist used the inverted lashes and the playful little heart shapes on the hand.
Another trick I have found useful today is to use a very light foundation or no foundation at all and just mask the problem areas with some concealer. This makes for a really nice effect of natural skin on camera and it's definitely a technique I should try, as I feel like I can go pretty heavy-handed when applying the base. I think this technique will work better for editorial images than my previous one which only made the skin look doll like, which is best for instagram type of make-up I believe.
This is an image from the workshop where I applied the make-up in 25 minutes. I am acually quite proud that I have picked up Dominic's technique and worked quite fast, I can't usually do makeup so fast. I am very grateful to have been able to attend this workshop at it has taught me so many valuable pieces of information that will be definitely used in my next shoots.
